OUTER HARBOUR HOUSE
Description
Nestled into the sloping terrain, this lakeside dwelling seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings. A granite base anchors the structure, while eastern white cedar siding and a gunmetal grey standing seam metal roof create a striking yet refined aesthetic. The design embraces the landscape with a walk-out basement, stepped paths to the waterfront, and a boathouse with seasonal marine tracks. A blend of sloped and flat roof sections breaks up the massing, creating the feel of a small village. Thoughtfully placed stone elements provide visual continuity, while privacy is carefully considered through natural buffers and architectural features such as a vertical slat privacy wall enclosing the Muskoka Room. The result is a bold yet elegant retreat, harmonizing with both the rugged terrain and serene waterfront.
